A Limited Edition Rooted in Nature, Family & Timeless Design

Some designs never really leave us.

They live quietly in family homes. In curtains that frame childhood memories. In cushions passed down. In patterns you recognise before you even know their name.

For many of us, that design is William Morris.

We are incredibly proud to introduce a limited edition collaboration between Zipster and the William Morris Society, bringing two of Morris’s most beloved prints; Strawberry Thief (1883) and Mallow (1889) — to a new generation.

The Story Behind the Prints

Strawberry Thief (1883)

One of the most iconic patterns of the Arts & Crafts movement, Strawberry Thief was inspired by thrushes stealing fruit from Morris’s garden at Kelmscott Manor.

What began as a small, everyday moment became a richly detailed design that has been loved for over 140 years. With its intricate birds, winding leaves, and deep heritage colours, it captures Morris’s belief that nature is the greatest designer of all.

Mallow (1889)

Soft, flowing, and romantic, Mallow celebrates the gentle rhythm of cottage-garden blooms. With its scrolling stems and delicate flowers, it reflects Morris’s later work; lighter, confident, and beautifully balanced.

Both prints are rooted in the same philosophy that guided Morris’s life and work:

“Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.”

It’s a belief that feels as relevant today as it did in the 19th century.

A Meaningful Collaboration

This collection has been created in official partnership with the William Morris Society, honouring Morris’s legacy while reimagining his work for modern families.

Even more special, every campaign image was photographed inside the historic William Morris Society itself. Shooting the collection in the very place that preserves his legacy created a powerful bridge between past and present.

It wasn’t just a backdrop. It was a connection.
